Volkswagen ID Buzz Concept Car
/ 10 January 2017

Concept cars come and go throughout the years. Some memorable and the rest are forgettable. This year, Volkswagen have come up with a concept car that tingles our nostalgic senses.

Announced at this year’s Detroit Auto Show, the ID Buzz is reminiscent of VW’s cult favorite Microbus. A staple of the 1960’s, the Microbus gets a complete overhaul and a facelift. The engine also gets a full makeover and the concept car is now sporting a full electric motor with a driving range of up to 270 miles one on charge.

The ID Buzz features a spacious interior that can fit up to eight and although this car is not expected to roll out until 2025, it already has car enthusiasts drooling over it and who can blame them? The car also features a fully autonomous “ID Pilot” mode, and the driver’s seat can be adjusted to face the rear if needed. Capable of all-wheel drive with two motors and 369 horsepower, the vehicle is definitely a futuristic departure and an impressive electric option.

Let’s just hope that this concept car can truly become a reality.
