/ 24 January 2017

It’s finally here. The title for the next Star Wars film or episode VIII in the franchise is Star Wars : The Last Jedi. The film reportedly picks up immediately after episode VII or The Force Awakens where Rey –played by Daisy Ridley– finally found Luke Skywalker –Mark Hamill, duh– who had been living in seclusion.

Episode VIII will be directed by franchise newcomer Rian Johnson and will see returning cast members like, the aforementioned Daisy Ridley, Mark Hamill, the late Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie and Andy Serkis. We’ll also see some new cast members like, Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to hit theaters on December 15, 2017. Stay tuned for more information.

While you wait, enjoy a clip taken from The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, of Episode VII’s cast with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots performing various themes from Star Wars.
