iPhone 8 with Curved Screen
/ 7 December 2016

Now we have seen curved screens on previous models and brands of smartphones, but that doesn’t stop Apple from releasing a preview of its so called ‘innovation’. The new iPhone 8 is planned to be released as early as next year. Now we know what you think “the iPhone 7 has been on the market for barely half a year” but hey, technology waits for no one, right?

In the preview photo, the new iPhone 8 is shown sporting a curved screen similar to those of Samsung’s. No home button is visible but the new iPhone iteration may also include an embedded home button, as opposed to the current location on the iPhone 7′s design.

This new model will also sport a 5.8-inch OLED display (instead of a LCD screen) with, of course, higher resolution. With OLED technology, a backlight is not needed, therefore thinner and lighter phones can be created. Now with all these new features and additions, we truly hope that a headphone jack is not out of the question.

It’s been reported that Apple has been testing out more than 10 different prototypes so we’ll just have to wait and see which of the prototypes will prevail.
