Holy Family release new single ‘There Completely’
/ 15 June 2017

Gothenburg (Sweden) based band Holy Family release new single ‘There Completely’ as the first taste of their forthcoming album ‘Values’, set for release on 25th August via Manchester label Melodic Records.

Made up of Viktor Hansson (Vocals/Synth/Keys), Anton Ekman (Guitar/Vocals), Erik Berntsson (drums) and Petter Lagerlöf (Guitar) Holy Family deliver a percussion driven indie gem, reminiscent of the restless art-rock pedalled by Talking Heads, TV on the Radio or Grizzly Bear, combined with the euphoric pop sensibilities of Phoenix.

On the themes behind the track the band explain: “”There Completely’ is about being, or at least attempting to be, completely present in situations and not planning escape routes or letting post generation x syndrome get in the way of, for lack of better words, living in the present.””

Flitting between Gothenburg, Montreal and Athens, Georgia during the writing/recording/mixing process gives the whole album, and each track, a well-travelled feel. From the second hand jumper climes of Sweden and Canada to the April T-Shirt weather in Athens, Holy Family’s ever-changing approach couldn’t help but echo their various surroundings.

With Of Montreal’s Kevin Barnes on production duties, and mixing done by David Pye (Wild Beasts, Trudy and the Romance, 2:54), there’s a fantastic indie pedigree in the record, which is inherent in the razor sharp sound.

‘There Completely’ is available to stream and download now on all services.

The album ‘Values’ is available to pre-order now.
