Ewan McGregor’s American Pastoral
/ 29 June 2016

Ewan McGregor makes his directorial debut for the movie American Pastoral, the trailer was released this week. You may know McGregor from his famous role as the junkie Mark Renton or young Jedi, Obi-Wan Kenobi. He is currently reprising his role as Mark Renton in the Trainspotting sequel. He will also be pulling double duty on FX’s Fargo in the show’s third season. As we can see, he’s kinda busy popping up on both the big screen and the small screen. What people haven’t seen is his potential behind the screen as he place the role of director.

Ewan McGregor - American Pastoral

The movie was based on the 1997 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Phillip Roth and stars McGregor himself, alongside Dakota Fanning and Jennifer Connelly. American Pastoral’s trailer has shown us the look and feel of a potential thriller. Considering this is McGroger’s first outing in the director’s chair, it would seem that he has a knack for it.

You will be able to see American Pastoral in theaters on October 21, 2016.
