Eastward by Martin Westlake
/ 22 November 2011

His solo exhibition and book launching at Dia.lo.gue Artspace a while ago featured an eclectic mix of colour, black + white, portraits and landscapes from Myanmar, Laos, Nepal, India, Vietnam, Jordan, Cambodia, China, Thailand and Indonesia.

Martin’s works are a wonderful mix of Martin’s curiosity for the world and his passion for the craft of photography that informs these transcendent images of Asia. His photographs impart the extraordinary sense that you are on the journey with him, capturing people in an honest way, photographing places that speaks a thousand words, following on a motorcycle, heading Eastward, where the beauty lives.
