When talking about whisky, we know that Scotland produces the best in the world. From so many tasty whiskies created in Scotland, Auchentoshan is one of Scotland’s most unique single malt whiskies. Good news to every whisky lover around Jakarta! Auchentoshan launches ‘The New Malt Order’ bar takeover campaign at Flow Bar & Lounge, Mega Kuningan – South Jakarta. It is crafted to deliver a revolutionary take on how single malt whisky should be discovered, enjoyed and experienced.
Auchentoshan Bar Take Over (ABTO) presents a pop-up Auchentoshan Taste Experiment Bar where every whisky drinkers can experiment with their ways in enjoying whisky while amplifying Auchentoshan’s key flavours; citrus, nuttiness, spiciness and sweetness from the whisky’s maturation in Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry and Pedro Ximenez casks. The Taste Experiment Bar allows guests to make-their-own cocktails with the addition of various condiments, ingredients and choices of garnish.
Representing the four flavours, there are also four cocktails that we have tried. First, there’s ‘What the Kue?!’. The cocktail smells surprisingly like a cake, no whisky scent at all! The cocktail is concocted with coconut water, Pandan Reduction, Gula Jawa, a dash of bitters and the Auchentoshan Three Wood. The second one was ‘Ye Old Soda Sour’. It’s a mix between three types of citrus, a dash of sugar, and Auchentoshan 12 year old. Also, it is topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and surprisingly tastes like a milkshake! Next up, there’s ‘Jammin’ with the Marmy’. It was full of spices; Ginger and Cinnamon mingle with the Auchentoshan 12 year old. There’s also some Orange Marmalade, fresh lemon juice and bitters over crushed ice added to the cocktail. Last, we have the most classic ‘Slightly Old Fashioned’, the Auchentoshan Three Wood, bitters, and a dash of sugar. Don’t forget to add the orange peels!
