Bank Vaults to Display 24 KilatesFootwear
, / 25 October 2016

While the current popular interior trend primarily uses a monochromatic scheme, this Spanish footwear brand called 24 Kilates breaks the rule by using gold. For its company expansion in Bangkok, they wanted to create a shop interior that screams opulence. An architectural firm from Barcelona, External Reference, granted their wish by designing interior that mimics a bank vault.

As you enter the footwear display room, you can see the gold safety deposit boxes lining the sidewalls. Those boxes are transformed into display shelves for sneakers and sandals .“This helps hide products from customers’ view for a while, which invites them to discover the products,” the design team said.

The center wall that has no boxes is camouflaged as a grand vault door with a big wheel that frames the shop logo.

The 38-square-meter shop has a second space which features a display area and a seating area where customers can try on sneakers as well as shirts and sweaters. The space can also be functioned as a venue for events and parties.

Well, this is a genius idea to reach for luxury goods buyer.
